I can't even remember if anyone else here has read Eragon... oh well. This is a big thing for me. I'm making it news on the site.

The third book in the Inheritance Cycle is coming out September 20th(entitled/subtitled Brisingr, The Seven Promises of Eragon Shadeslayer and Saphira Bjartskular)! I'm so excited!

So, if you have any theories as to what may or may not happen (like me, the Eragon-addict), then this is the place to post! Or if your just really excited, you can show your enthusiasm like what I'm about to do!

Yeah, well I'm just that excited! I needed some way to express my enthusiasm. Somewhat hypocritical as the admin, I know.
Anyway, the series isn't over yet. This was going to be the last book, but Christopher Paolini couldn't fit it all into one book, so this is now the second to last book in the series. I'm just so happy! But I guess no one else here has read it... *sigh*

Just finished the book a few minutes ago: it was GREAT! Well, not as good as the original. I consider it better than the second one, though. Unfortunately, after hanging around at the fansites long enough, parts of it were rather predictable, slightly ruining it for me. I now know better, and won't participate in the polls at shurtugal.com before the fourth and final book comes out. (they had polls, asking everyone what they thought would happen. One of these had a possibility I hadn't yet thought of, but once I had read this possibility, I knew that it had to happen. And it did. CURSES!)

Anyway, if anyone else reads this book, I would obviously be more than happy to discuss.... just saying...

This could be a slight spoiler... if you understand its implications (eg, the Eragon is a mimic of Star Wars debate)... just a warning.

And for those people in the world who say that the Eragon books are just a knock-off of Star Wars in a fantasy setting, this book just proved you WRONG!

I kinda saw the whole Brom-is-Eragon's-father thing coming, due to what I said earlier about the poll on a fan site. Sorta ruined it for me. I'm still kinda wondering what the 7 promises of Eragon Shadeslayer and Saphira Bjartskular are - I mean, they did make a lot of promises, but it didn't really explain the sub-title of the book. I liked the who Eldunari thing - clears up a lot. Plus, I just really like the name 'Eldunari'. Right now, I just can't wait for the green egg to hatch! I want to know who the next dragon rider is. By the way, who do you think it is?

I want to read Eragon and all that, but I just don't have the money or time to go to a bookstore...maybe I can get an audiobook? =\ I've developed a certain fondness of reading since my last post in this topic, so you can just ignore that. XD I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to finish it on time if I ordered it from the library, but it's worth a try if all else fails.
