Well, I think I'm just gonna start making new threads whenever I get addicted to a new show... Maybe. We'll see. Anyway, the new anime I'm totally obsessed with lately is called "Monster" It's very dark and suspenseful, filled with all sorts of murder and suspicion and all that other good (or not so good) stuff. In other words, if you like happy animes, never watch this show or you will be permanently depressed for the rest of your life (maybe).
Anyway, it's 74 episodes long (I think, I'm only on episode 8 so far). This is just a brief summary, giving away some of the plot of the first couple of episodes - in other words, some spoilers...
Anyway, if you like ultra-suspense and psychopath killers, you're in for a treat with this anime. In fact, it kind of makes me wonder what kind of mind I must have to enjoy the series.... This isn't my normal sort of anime - while I like dark, realistic anime, I normally watch only anime with at least a touch of fantasy to them (Wolf's Rain is still my favorite anime ever). And, admittedly, when I'm not actually in the process of watching this anime, I can't get the psyched about it (like I can when recalling Wolf's Rain) However, when I'm watching this, you never know what's gonna happen next (half the reason I'm keeping on watching this is the fact that I want to see what all will possibly happen in over 70 episodes...)
So yeah, it's a good adrenaline-rush anime if you're ever in need of it... if you have seen this anime or watch it after reading this, here's the place to discuss!

It's about this Japanese brain surgeon named Dr. Tenma who is currently working in Germany. After being influenced by hospital poilitics to save an important opera singer and letting a regular person (who was taken to the hospital first) die, he does exactly the opposite - instead of saving the mayor's life, he refuses a direct order and saves the life of a boy with gunshots to the head (He was found with his parents dead - also shot - and his twin sister standing in shock.). But, when the series picks up again 9 years later, the boy is more than he seems...(I won't say anything more than that! for now....)
