I just discovered a series, and it has become one of my favorites, and I'm only two books into it! It's called the DragonKeeper Chronicles, and it has five books in it. I'm not sure if there's going to be more, because as I said I'm only two books into it. It is a Christian Fantasy series, but I truly believe non-Christians will love it too. There are only parallels to Christianity. Such as God is named Wulder, Jesus is Paladin, and Satan is Risto. It has a lot of dragons in it, and dragons are the focal point of the book. I would recomend this series to anyone, especially if they love dragons. There are dragon hatches, and many forms of dragons. It follows the "dragon keeper" who is really just a once slave girl who has a talent for finding dragon eggs, and mindspeaking. Her name is Kale Allerion. The book is by Donita K. Paul, and she is a terrific writer. These are the only books I've read of hers so far, but I'm planning to look more up and read as many as I can. Please look into this series, it is awesome! The five books, in order, are named: DragonSpell, DragonQuest, DragonKnight, DragonFire, and DragonLight.

It definitely sounds interesting, and I've been looking for a good dragon series to read lately. Christian parallels are no big deal with me - I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia easily enough. Are the dragons (either as individuals or as a species) have any parallels to Christianity? Or just people? (I ask out of curiosity - I'm probably going to go find this series either way)
*Also, I'm moving this topic to the 'Modern (and not so modern) Dragons' board, since that's almost exclusively for dragon based things like books, movies, etc.*

That's fine about moving it. I forgot this was the place for dragon books, movies and stuff.
I'm so glad you're interested! I'm now in the middle of the third book. I actually found Donita K. Paul's fansite, and went to her networks. I saw she had a Facebook, so I asked to be her friend on there. Well, I don't know if you know the workings of Facebook, but when you ask someone to be your friend, you can put a little message on it. Well, I put that I loved the books, and they have really grown me in the Lord, and stuff like that. Well, not only did she accept me as a friend, she WROTE ME PERSONALLY! She said that she was glad I loved the books, that encouragement is always great for her when she's writing a book, and that I HAD MADE HER DAY!! I about fainted! I couldn't believe she wrote me. It was awesome.
Anyway, back to the book. About the dragons, the minor, major, and greater dragons don't really have much to do with the Christian part of the book. They only mindspeak to other dragons, and the person that they bonded with. The Meech dragons, however, can speak and do have a part in the Christian part. I at least know the Meech dragons come into play with the Christian part of the second book.
And by the way, I said that Risto was the Devil in the book. I've later discovered that's not true. The Devil in the book is The Pretender. And The Pretender was just using Risto as a pawn. All this was laid out to me at the beginning, but I didn't catch it at first.
So, I really hope you can find, and enjoy the books! They really are great, I love them!
