*HOWLS* Happy Halloween everyone!!! I hope everyone is having a frightful day, (and night) this All Hallows Eve! So, is anyone doing anything special? Are you dressing up? If so, what are you going to be? To answer my own questions, I'm not going to dress up first off. All I'm doing is getting under some blankets on the couch, and watching some scary movies with my parents. And I sit next to my mom, and she's a jumper, so it should be fun! We rented some scary movies from the movie rental store, so I've never seen any of them. We've already watched a couple scary movies the last couple of days, and it has been really fun. Just a second ago my mom and I watched One Missed Call. Has anyone seen it? I thought it was pretty good. It has a little language in it, and I didn't like the ending, but it was still good. If anyone has seen it, you know that ringtone that's on it? Well, my friend has that ringtone! I'm going to get it from her tomorrow. I also got some ghost books from the library a couple days ago. I've been reading those to get ready for today too. Some of them have been really good! So, I hope again I hope everyone is having a great, and scary day today! And, try not to get too scared.... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

I didn't do much on Halloween itself... but on the eve of All Hallow's Eve, me, my brother, my friend, and my friend's sister went to a haunted house attraction. It was pretty fun, especially since my friend and her sister scare really easily. My brother and I don't really get scared at all, so we just screamed at random points in time to freak my friend and her sister out. And part of the whole haunted house attraction was this completely dark maze - I had the most fun at that. We all held hands so we wouldn't lose each other, and it took us a good twenty minutes or so to find our way out (and it was a small maze). AND there was one place in it where the walls give you an electric shock, and since you're trying to feel your way through the maze, we all got shocked at some point. It was fun~!
I've never heard of the movie One Missed Call. But I don't watch scary movies much, so it's not surprising that I don't know what it is.
And as far as books go, I've been reading some Edgar Allan Poe stories to get me in the halloween mood~. If there's anyone that's a master of suspense and horror in literature, it's Poe. (or maybe Stephen King...)

Oh, that's right, Halloween was last week, and thankfully, the silly holiday was over. I did dress up, though, but it was for a date (sort of) I was going on later that day and see Robert Cummings' movie, Halloween II. I basically put on my best attire, my best cap (my Longhorns cap) and went as a teenager. I guess really all I did to get into the spirit was read BOO!, a chapter in Jimmy Norton's book Happy Endings to prep myself up for the trick-or-treaters (or one, since one kid dressed up in a cowboy came to our house and that was it). I basically put on a mask, did the "mua-hahahahaha" laugh to scare the little kids. Those that were crying in fear got a good natured pat on the head and three tasty treats. Anyone who made some smart-aliky remark got a face full of scalding coffee I kept by the door. All and all, it was a good holiday, in some sense. But I'm glad it's over, because next up is Thanksgiving where I can work on another fantastic recipe, assuming no one fakes liking my cooking.
