Well, just kinda curious what everyone here likes. Of course, I'm betting on at least one of the dragons getting the most votes, but you can vote twice, so we can see what the runner-up is. Post if your favorite creature isn't listed, and sorry in advance if that is the case.

I'd say "Chocobo", but aside from Final Fantasy, I've only seen them in the anime movie, Nausica of the Valley of the Wind, so I don't know if they're popular enough to get votes.

I love Nausicaa, but I have no idea what a chocobo is. What creature is it in that movie?
Also, I'd add it to the poll, but I don't think I can add anything once the poll is made. Sorry!

The big yellow bird. Her uncle (or whoever that was) was riding one in the beginning when they were getting chased by that huge bug.

Oh... they're not exactly yellow, but I know what you're talking about now. And now that I think about it, I may have seen a picture of a Chocobo before... let me google it... Yup, I'd seen the cartoony version before, but you're totally right! It does look like a Chocobo (I say "look like" because I don't think that's what the director intended it to be. But now I will always refer to those big bird things as Chocobos!) Man, if I'd been thinking back to Nausicaa, I would've added fox-squirrel, for that matter, in addition to Chocobo. Oh well. Can't change the past as far as polls go...

What's a frost dragon and can you provide a picture?

Umm, there's a couple of different interpretations of it. They either have ice or fire breath. They look like the classic European dragon, but with two variations: 1. pale-blue scales i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj31/sierra559/blue_dragon.jpg2. pale-blue fur (having trouble finding a picture) I was referring to the one with fur in the poll, but if you like the other one, that's fine, too. I would have entered them differently if I'd thought about it. But both are dragons that live in the arctic. That and their color is the common trait.

Basilisks...what do you think they look like? I made up my own interpretation very very very loosely based on the Harry Potter basilisk. They are fallen dragons who lost their legs and wings when they rebelled against God.

Umm... well, I don't really go into the whole rebelled against God thing, but as far as physical appearance.... I normally picture a massive snake, though usually one a bit more (for lack of a better term) 'pretty' than the one in Harry Potter (the one in Harry Potter seems very jagged rough - I imagine more of an elegant killer). According to Wikipedia, the earliest recordings of the basilisk site it as extremely small. I think it just depends on how you want to interpret different accounts. Who knows, maybe there is only one basilisk in the world and it has simply grown massive over time...
