Well, what you have depends on where you live and such, but what pets do you have? All together, my family has three cats, one dog, and four horses (one of those horses belongs to a friend, but the horse remains at our place). I'm not so much into the horses. I'm mainly a cat person, but I like our dog, too, though he's getting too old to play with anymore.
Anyone else have some pets? Or what kind of pet would you like that you don't have?

All I have is one cat. I wish I could have more cats. I love cats. I would also like a horse. Hey Dragon Spirit, maybe you could give me one of your horses! JK It would be cool to have a horse in my opinion, my dream is to have an all white one.

We don't have any truly whit horses, but we have a really light-colored gray and it's baby (that's not so much of a baby anymore). Then we've got an aging brown horse named Chubby... and finally, the one that stays with us but doesn't belong to us is a whopping 43 years old! (which is probably over a hundred as far as horse aging goes.) But I don't ride them that much, and I really like hand pets over huge, gigantic animals... Plus, I always had more bad experiences with horses then my younger brother did... I'm taking that as a sign that I should stop now before I really get myself hurt... Or that he's just better at riding than I am... *sigh*

lol, I know what Kawaii~desu means now~ It means 'cute' in Japanese.
Anyway, my dog and the old horse have died since I started this topic, though I think I've mentioned that in another part of the site. Somewhere.
So now, we're thinking about getting a new dog. My mom really wants to adopt this one dog from some people that live a few miles away from us - either we adopt, or it's going to the humane society, due to the fact that they're going to have a small child in the house now. It's a really nice, sweet dog. But the fact is, I'm lazy, and I don't go outside much. And my mom won't let our pets come inside, so I probably wouldn't play with it much... so I'm trying to stay out of the decision making.
What I really want right now, though it may seem weird, is a rat. Actually, I would love a ferret even more than that, but I recognize just how hard those are to take care of, and I don't want to have to deal with that at the moment. Rats are smart, and relatively easy to take care of. Because they're smart, you do have to play with them and keep them entertained, but since it would be inside, that really wouldn't bother me too much. And the tail doesn't bother me in the least. Plus, it would make me feel unique - how many other people have a rat as a pet?

Oh, that's cool! Hehe, I don't know any Japanese.
Well, that's cool if you get a dog. Yeah, dogs do need a lot of attention, but I'm sure he'd be happy at your house! You'll have to tell us if you got the dog or not.
I think a rat would make a great pet! I wouldn't want a ferret, the smell too much for me. Plus they are really hard to take care of. Rat's tails don't bother me either. That would make you unique. As far as I know, I don't know anyone who has a rat as a pet. Something I've always wanted, but is too expensive and hard to take care of is either a snake, lizzard, or some type of reptile. I would love to have one. Well, you'll have to tell us if you ever get a rat too!

Well, my mom ended up choosing not to get the dog - she finally decided that she wanted to hold out for a puppy. And, admittedly, if we got a puppy, I would train it. I'm still working on convincing her to get me a rat. I also just found out today that one of my friends at school has a brother who used to have a rat - she said they were really great pets.
And the smell was one reason my mom didn't want me to get either a ferret or a reptile of some kind. (I wanted a snake for some time, and while that would still be awesome, they're not as entertaining as mammals).
