Sort of a strange fan-club, I know, but is there anyone else other than me that absolutely loves stormy weather?
I like it because it's so inspiring (see my dragon story "The Birth of a Dragon"), and because it's so unpredicatable - you never know what will happen next.

I like stormy weather too. I love to watch lightning (from a distance of course). But my favorite days are cool, breezy, overcast days. They're so calm, and peaceful to me.

I like to be outside on those cool, overcast days. I'd like to be outside on the really stormy days, too, but I don't think my mom would appreciate it too much... I also love how everything feels right after a good rain... at least in the country, everywhere you go, it smells fresh and new... and earthy. Plus, it makes the worms come out, which make all the birds come out... and I've seen other animals that are more active after rains, also.

The monsoon season finally hit us. You should've seen the rain yesterday.... wait... >_> Actually, I don't know if you'd think that rainfall was special, but to someone who lives in a desert it's quite a shocker seeing the streets flood. After days of temperatures going over 110, the rain "cooled" it down to 95ish. I do like the rain, but people here weren't used to that much.

For where I live, it varies from year to year. Last month, we had almost two weeks straight of fairly severe storms in my area - though my house was usually on the edge of the really severe stuff. We had a really bad ice storm in January or February a couple years back... we lost power for about 24 hours, and a lot of people in the area surrounding us had it out for several days. Then again, sometime we have summers that are drought-condition, where we get next to no rain (I hate those summers!). The only thing that can be assured is that it's almost always windy. I am seriously amazed whenever it is entirely still outside. It's probably like seeing the streets flood where you live... perhaps slightly more common. I can remember two times in the past year when it was entirely calm outside.
But I like all of this extreme weather... except the heat. I hate heat. I love rain. I highly doubt that I would ever move to a desert area.

I hear you Spirit, about the heat, I hate heat! I love the cold, and I love snow!! I also live in the country and it is really nice after the rain. I've seen birds, racoons, opposoms, snakes, cats, deer, rabbits, and we have molehills, I just haven't seen a mole yet. I love living in the country. I've lived in the city, and I would prefer to live in the country.

They're OK, but I don't like it when I actually want to do something outside, kinda ruins my day. and when it's rainy over and over again usually means a suckish gym day...

I ususally like it when we have (I mean had) gym in doors. We usually had something fun to do - I like it when we have gym outside right after it rains... it usually means funny crashes when we play softball or something in the football field... like this one time-
Well, we were playing soccer and I was trying to go after the ball. I think I tried to turn a bit too fast - the point being that the grass was slippery and my feet totally slid out from under me. I landed in a puddle. I laugh, as does my PE teacher (amazing teacher, by the way - she's so funny, and treats everyone like equals to herself) and the rest of the class. My entire right side was soaking for the rest of class.
Yep, those are the good times in life... point is, I even like it after a storm is over... too bad we can't go outside for PE when it's raining...

STORMS!!!! Don't get me started. A character in two of my stories loves flying in storms. He likes to make tornado/hurricane/thunderstorms.
