by Phillip Pullman.
I don't know if anyone else has read these books, but Bubblon and I were talking about it in the C-box last night, which made me remember just how AMAZING I think this trilogy is. The first book is "The Golden Compass" (US title. In other places, called "Northern Lights"), the second book is "The Subtle Knife" and the third one is "The Amber Spyglass". The first one has been made ito a movie, and I believe the others will also be made into movies.
So what does everyone else think of these books? personally, I have to hide the fact that I LOVE them from everyone at school, cause they'd probably end up excorcising the demons from me, since the book is so completely anti-christian (especially anti-catholic). But the characters are amazing, as are the ideas behing the story (I wish I had a daemon!).

As you said, it is very anti-christian, as I've heard because I'm not going to watch, or read it. No offence to people who like it, but as I am a Christian, I am offended by it. I'm sorry but I am just not going to read, or watch anything that is going against, or bad talking my God.

That's okay, I understand where you're coming from. If you're offended by criticism of God, then this is definitely not the book for you...

I'm glad you understand. I just don't like people talking bad about my God. It would be like someone bad-talking your dad. If someone were to do that, it would be an insult to you as well. He's my heavenly Father, and I love Him.

Moby Dick; I need to read it for school. =p
lol Since I was there, I though. "might as well find something I'll like while I'm at it", and so I am about to start reading The Golden Compass! Woot!
