I personally believe that there are better things to do on Sunday mornings than listen to a boring, repetitive sermon. But that's just me. Going to church is not a social activity - you're encouraged to be quiet. The other things involved in the church - the extra-curricular stuff - is the social stuff.
Yeah, it'll be better to go to a more formal institution. I'm graduating from that community college tonight so I never have to go there again... yay!
I've only eaten minimal meat, as I haven't been one to have the taste for the stuff. Even my sister and father are going to give up being vegetarians for that meal. We got an organic turkey for Thanksgiving just so my dad could eat it even though it cost like six times that of a normal one. My dad is going to eat liver for "Christmas dinner" even though it's a lunch not always held on Christmas. I used to be unable to even look at the stuff... it still looks unappetizing. We have turkey at Thanksgiving so we really don't need it again... Christmas is when a lot of people do their own thing, anyway.
Hobbies? Probably writing and playing video games. As I said before, my school experiences have made me more introverted. I need more social time lol. What are your hobbies?

Well, hehe I beg to differ. I don't see them as "boring repetitive" sermons. I love my Pastor, and I believe that he preaches very well. I seem to get something out of every one of his sermons. Plus we also have a lot of music in our services; both hymns and modern music. I'm very sorry you feel that way about church, and because you feel that way I'm assuming you're not religous at all, which I am also very sorry about.
Wow, congratulations!!!
Wow, organic turkey? That doesn't sound very tasty. And about liver I would have to say EWWWWW!!!!! My dad had it once, and the smell made me sick. And because I like to try new things, I tried it and almost threw up. And we did have turkey on Thanksgiving, but not our own. So we couldn't have the only think better than fresh turkey, turkey sandwiches!
Well my hobbies are reading, writing, listening to music, being online, hanging out with friends, being outdoors especially in woods and lakes, and just hanging out with my family.
So, do you like warmer weather, or cooler?

Yeah, I'm not very religious. I was brought up that way, and I'm very happy I was. Don't pity me, it's better for me to go bowling with my dad on Sunday mornings. We've been doing that for like 3 years now. Good times.
Thanks! The Associate in Arts will help me somewhat... though a Bachelor's would be better.
It was actually pretty good, but it didn't taste too different than a normal turkey. I joked that it cost a million dollars, when it was really just $60. But yeah, that's not a mistake we'll make again. My mom hates cooking liver, Christmas dinner is the one meal she dreads cooking every year. It doesn't look appetizing at all, I don't even want to try it.
I really need to be online less and start getting out more. My family isn't the best to hang out with, though I do spend time with all three of them here and there. Now that my sister is in college and lives in a dorm, I see less of her. Though she's never around when she's here anyway, since she's my polar opposite. Hard to believe we're related, we have very little in common.
That's a tough question. In summer, I hate it when it gets above 90 (Fahrenheit) and I can't stand the winter weather we have now (freaking blizzard made life difficult today). I like it somewhere in the middle. Probably slightly warmer (like 60s-70s and low 80s) during the day and slightly cooler at night. I like it cool when I sleep. As usual, my sister is my polar opposite, and she loves to sweat in her sleep.
What's your preference? Do you have any siblings that are like your polar opposite?

I'm not pitying you, I was just saying I'm sorry you fell back from God. I'm sure it is fun to go bowling with your dad, however you could go on another day. Anyway, I don't want to make you upset, so I'll leave it at that.
Yeah, I suppose they try and make it taste like real turkey. O.O $60?! That's alot! And I wouldn't try liver if I were you, it's NASTY! My mom dreaded making it too, and I don't think she'll make it again.
Yeah, my mom is great to hang out with. My dad, not so much, but better than some I suppose. My mom and I are as close as we can be. She's great.
Well, I like more colder days. I mean I don't like it FREEZING, but I do like it cold and I love snow. I also have to be cool to sleep. I can NOT sleep when I'm hot. I do like warmer days, and swimming and stuff, but I really like the cold. And I do have one brother, he's in college. I don't see him much either, even though he doesn't live very far. He's working full time, and going to school almost full time. So, he doesn't have a lot of free time. Well, there are somethings we have in common, but we are quite different. My brother's a lot more social, I'm more quiet. But we get along pretty well.
So, what's your favorite TV show? Movie?

I feel bad for you because religion has infected your mind like that. You seemingly don't understand others' perspectives on the subject. I, too, will leave it at this.
Yeah, considering it's still meat, they almost have to. It's not given any antibiotics or slaughtered brutally. Those are the reasons why my dad and sister gave up meat. Of course, they plan on eating Lobster on Christmas Eve; as seafood is their exception, though that's mostly my dad. My dad did feel guilty about ordering that $60 turkey, he thought it'd be more like $25.
I like hanging out with my family; it's just that there is so much limited stuff to do with them. We all have very different interests - the only one we have in common is napping. I like playing video games, writing, and going online. My sister likes being a brat, hanging out with friends (though mostly her on-again-off-again boyfriend), and just being away from the house in general. My dad is back at college and over-studies for everything. He also has a weird obsession with birds and does too much bird-related stuff. My mom usually cooks and watches Fox News.
So yeah, we're all very different and our common interests are very limited. This is why I don't hang out with them as frequently as other people do.
I don't get why my sister can sleep with that heater making her room all hot and humid. That just sounds so uncomfortable. My blankets are enough for me. I like keeping warm but the air around me is more preferably cooler, thus creating a balance. It just seems so uncomfortable to sweat in your sleep.
I hate these overdoses of snow we're getting. The final verdict for yesterday was 10.3 inches. Last winter we got just over 100 inches total. Snow is fun if the world doesn't freeze over. By all means, the world has frozen over here, at least.
I really need to get out more in summer. Camping might be fun and expand my territory. I just need to get out more and see the world, though living in Wisconsin doesn't really have much quality outdoorsy stuff to offer aside from camping. The only job I've held ever was a job at a camping center. Hated working there; though the people there were a hoot, the place lacked an air conditioner and it was extremely tiring to work in 90-degree (F) heat and not get breathers in an air-conditioned building.
What was your first job? Or haven't you had one yet?
Yeah, your brother is like my sister. She only lives 20 minutes away and often demands escorts from us since she can't have a car downtown (parking prices are not friendly there). My sister and I get along well sometimes and other times... we really don't. Like yesterday she caused so much unnecessary drama regarding the Playstation 2 that we share. She forgot to bring home the cable that connects it to the TV and tried to make me go get it... from her dorm. She did the responsible thing and got it after some parental pressure but wanted a favor in return, when it was her job to go get it since she left it there and was not responsible to bring home everything. Because of this, I may not let her take it back to her dorm next semester, as we co-own it. This way, we'll have the same amount of access to it since we own it 50-50.
Hmmm... favorite TV show and movie... I really don't watch that much, to be honest. I prefer playing games, as experiences can change from time to time. I mostly watch reality TV like Survivor (if you recognize the person in my sig... uh...)... though the most recent season was sort of blah.
As for movies... I really don't watch too many. Picking an absolute favorite is hard, but if I had to choose one... probably Goldeneye. I love the Bond franchise, after all. I also really like The Italian Job and Get Smart. I mostly watch action stuff but I don't find it appealing to watch the same movie over and over again. Playing games over and over again can still be fun.
And for you?

Wow hehe yes long post, lol. Well, I said I'd leave it at that, but you gave me no choice. "religion" has not "infected" my mind, God has my heart. He has my heart, mind, soul, and body. He made me. His Son died in my place so I could be with Him. And He has a place waiting for me when I die. God is Grace, Truth, and Love. He has given me so much, He has given me everything! And yes, God does allow bad things to happen to me, but He uses those bad things to better me, and use them for good. He always has my best interest in mind, and He is always there for me. He is my Savior, my Maker, and my Father. I love Him. Yeah, I suppose I'd feel a little bad about buying a $60 turkey, but he had a good intention. Yeah I suppose if you don't have much in common it's hard to do stuff together. All my family love board games, and my parents and I love movies. We all also love to go camping. So, I guess we have some stuff in common. However my dad and I don't do many things together. My mom and I do everything together. Both my mom and I love music, and are very musical. We both also love to write, so we do that as well. We also scrapbook, and do puzzles. So, we do a lot of things together. The main thing my brother and I do is go to concerts, and hang out with our mutual friends. But that's about it. 10.3 inches?! I would kill for just one inch! GRRR, hehe anyway... Well, I actually haven't had any jobs yet. However I have babysitted before, and I've helped my mom clean people's houses before, I got paid for that one. I've also helped out at my church a lot. Other than that, I haven't. Wow, sounds like a lot of drama for a PS2. Your solution sounds a lot better than that. Well my favorite TV show would be Lost. I LOVE Lost. And my favorite movies would be Lord of the Rings, and both National Treasures. So, since you like video games so much, what's you favorite video game?

I'm leaving it at that. Say what you want, I am not one to discuss religion, especially those that seem that... weird...
We don't really play board games or anything here. Sometimes we watch TV together... like two or three of us, but never as a family. We all like different things. I'm the only regular video game player. We do not have a collective common interest, so doing things together is rare. We may go out to eat together a few times a month but that's really about it.
We've had like 33 inches this month. Too much, in other words. I wish snow was easy to ship to Ireland.
I dog-sit, cat-sit, water neighbor's plants and various other little jobs, but that's about it. I need a real job.
Yeah... she's spoiled and doesn't admit that she's human, since she thinks she's above that. She's going to be really angry when I tell her I want to keep the PS2 for the next semester. She'll probably just take it anyway because it's her DVD player. But, hey, my friend offered her a DVD/VCR combo at the start of the semester and she refused. So it's her loss, she could have had something that was HERS, not something that she has to share. She's lucky I let her take it for the entire previous semester... but if she's not going to be courteous to me regarding it, then her loss. She should have just said "Oops, sorry. I'll go get the cable." and it would have been fine. She didn't even admit her mistake and wasn't willing to atone for it - after all, she's the princess of the universe. She doesn't make mistakes.
I never really got into LOST, though it sounds really interesting. Survivor-style island dynamic only really, really confusing. I need to watch it from the beginning to understand everything, it's not the type of show that you can miss 2-3 episodes and follow closely.
Haven't seen LotR movies. 3-hour movies like that don't really interest me... it just seems too... World of Warcraft-ish. I probably wouldn't be entertained the whole time. National Treasure looks interesting... I probably need to add that to my list...
As for Christmas... we're going up north Friday through Sunday and doing the usual thing. Brat sister is coming home Saturday late afternoon. She takes no interest in family matters, apparently.
My two favorite series are The Legend of Zelda and Tales. A lot of my top 25 games are from either of those (7 in total). I've been playing too much Tales lately but I'm not even remotely close to getting sick of it.
Do you play video games? If so, what do you like?

Yeah, we like board games. We're actually going tomplay games and watch movies all day Christmas eve and day. It's going to be fun.
GRRR I really wish we would get some snow. But I think it's like going to be in the 50's this next week. So, I don't think it's going to happen.
heh, yeah I'll probably wait a little longer before I get a real job, but I won't wait long. I hope you find a good job.
Hmm, sounds like a typical sibling. My brother and I get along a lot better than most siblings. It would have been a lot better for her to just admit that she was in the wrong. Most of us have a hard time doing that though, it seems. That's also weird she turned down a VCR DVD combo. She should've just taken that.
HAHA, yeah LOST is pretty confusing. And, yes you definitely need to watch it from the beginning, and watch like every episode. Even though it's confusing I LOVE it! I'm even watching re-runs right now until it comes back just so I can see it. It's great.
Those sound cool. My favorite video games are the racing games like Ford racing, and Sonic games. I have the Sonic Mega Collection Plus, which has like 20 games on it, and I really like that. Like you don't watch TV that much, I don't play video games much, but when I do those are the ones I like to play.

I wish my family could do that. I'll probably just play some video games, maybe some of the ones I'm getting for Christmas. My sister has to work at the movie theater. My parents are going to do their own thing.
I'm not sure of the best way to get some of this across the Atlantic. I want less snow, as there's too much and we're getting 5 more inches tomorrow.
Getting a real job in this economy is not going to be easy. I don't want to work at McDonald's or anything that crappy. I gotta look into it after the holidays.
My sister and I get along pretty well except when she's in brat mode, which is seemingly happening more often these days. I did find it odd that she turned down that DVD-VCR combo, as it would give her more accessibility than the PS2. And plus, since we co-own the PS2, I can always decide to not be generous and keep it for myself for a semester. She'll probably just take it even if I tell her not to. If she does, the cops get involved and she gets arrested. Stolen property and all.
I wish I had more time to do that. There's been a lot of episodes and it's too much to get into at this time... especially since I am going to try to get a job. I'm not in the mood to get confused about a TV show... starting to watch it in the middle of it would be even more confusing.
I also have the Sonic Mega Collection, though I've hardly played that. The nostalgia isn't there for someone who hasn't owned a Sega console. I see why they're fun but the nostalgia factor is important for 2D games. It's not really something I can get into. And the 3D Sonic games have annoying cameras so I don't like those.
And yeah, Zelda and Tales are both awesome series. You obviously have a Gamecube or PS2; if you have a Gamecube get Zelda: The Wind Waker and Tales of Symphonia. Since you live in Europe you can't get Tales of the Abyss, which is sad. Unless it's region-free and I don't believe the PS2 is.
As for racing games, I only play MarioKart. Realistic racers bore me. MarioKart is just fun, MK Wii is on my Christmas list.
What do you know that you are getting for Christmas? What are you asking for?

First before I say anything else, there seems to be a misunderstanding between us. Um...Since Spirit has like the Cave of the Ancients as her location, I decided it would be best if I didn't put my real location there. I picked Ireland because I love it, and I hope to go there someday. Not to mention it seems like a perfect place for a dragon to live. I really live in the U.S.A. I'm very sorry for the mix-up.
Yeah, it is nice my family does this. We're going to go pick my brother up here in a minute. My mom's already made the pumpkin pie and fudge for tomorrow. By the way, the fudge is great!
grrrr, it's like 57 here, which means....no snow. But I think I'll live without it...maybe.
Yeah, it is going to be hard to get a job now. Especially if you don't want to start at a place like McDonalds. It seems that's the best place to start, unless you have like a Master's already.
It does seem odd she turned that down, I know I wouldn't have. Well, I hope she respects your wishes, and leaves the PS2 alone.
Yeah, it is a show you need to watch from the beginning. I did, so I've been following it all along. I do know someone who's been watching it on Sci-fi, but even they're a long ways inot the series. So, I don't know how you would catch up.
Oh, yeah. I really like Sonic. It's just the type of games I like to play. I didn't like the 3D ones either. They were too hard to play, and too weird looking.
Yeah, I have a PS2. And since I've already explained I don't live in Europe, I would be able to get Tales of the Abyss. Which I might end up doing, if I get some extra money.
Well, Wii is also on my list, but I'm pretty sure I'm not getting it. I also want anything to do with dragons, Lost, or Lord of the Rings. I also like jewelry, and I'd like Narnia: Prince Caspian. Is a Wii all you're asking for?

Oh, okay. I actually thought you lived in Ireland because of your post times. It'd be 7 at night GMT when you posted that last message, hence why I thought that the location was accurate.
So my family played Apples to Apples tonight and it pretty much cleared up why we don't do that very often. My mom really sucked at it and kept telling us what cards she had and my dad was being really stupid and ignorant. It wasn't fun, it was more frustrating because those two were hard to tolerate. They'd both had some wine so maybe that was to blame, but...
We opened our presents today, actually. I already have a Wii. I got Mario Kart Wii and ToS2 for it, plus a few other things. This is like the second year we did it early, we've traditionally done it on Christmas morning. But yeah I'm happy with my haul.
What did you get? I know you'll post again after you've opened, so that's why I'm asking.
57 is VERY hot. I just had to snowblow the neighbor's driveway and nearly froze my face. Hate experiences like that.
It's unfortunate that places like McDonald's are the best starting places. I've already had that one job and McDonald's would be useless experience for a prospective journalist.
I was very surprised that she turned that offer down. So was my friend. He wanted to get rid of it and probably has since so it's her loss. A free thing like that that'd be 100% hers. If she's calling me vulgar names when I tell her I want to keep the PS2 for a semester, I'll have won. That's no way to get someone to negotiate with you.
Wikipedia isn't the best for summaries, and I don't want to read 100 episode recaps (since there have been over 100 episodes, I believe). Too time-consuming. Not fun.
Sega really fails as a company now... why haven't they got the camera right yet? They keep producing mediocre game after mediocre game. There's a reason why the Dreamcast flopped.
Yeah, get Tales of the Abyss. I've been playing through it for the past week and it's more awesome than I remembered. I main Tear, who's a mage/healer/somewhat of an attacker. Nice blend, plus she's hot. Uh never mind about that. The plot is great, though slow in spots and confusing in others, and the characters are all really deep. It'll cost $30 used at Gamestop. Worth every penny, since your first playthrough will take 50-60 hours on its own, and it's well worth replaying. Though Unknown mode is made to give you hell, just to warn you.
Wiis are still hard to find. There aren't many dragon-related games that I can think of, though they are a common enemy in RPGs (and sometimes they're friendly but not Puff the Magic Dragon friendly). I'm glad I got lucky to find mine, even though I don't believe it was written in the Score. Wait this isn't Tales of the Abyss, sorry.
So yeah, tell me what you get when you get the chance. I'll probably be on tomorrow since we aren't leaving until Friday. Life can be boring at times, frustrating at others (e.g. parents + card game). But I have a goal and I'm seeking to achieve it and start my life anew. That's the best gift I could ever get - a better life.

Yeah I actually get on around 1:00-2:00 in the afternoon. However because we'll be doing stuff this afternoon, I got on a lot earlier.
Well, what's REALLY funny is my family and I played......Apples to Apples last night too! However my game seemed to go a lot better than yours. We all know how to play, and it was a blast! My mom ended up winning, but we were all on her tail. Oh, yeah and nobody had any wine, my mom doesn't drink and all my dad has is beer. Which he did drink some I think. Anyway, it didn't affect anything.
Wow, sounds cool! We always open our gifts on Christmas Eve. I got Narnia: Prince Caspian, a bunch of beautiful jewelry, a watch, a bunch of perfume (something I didn't ask for, but really wanted,) and some lip balm/gloss. Oh, and I got a calender too. So, I'm really happy with what I got. My mom couldn't find anything to do with dragons, Lost, or LotR, which is fine.
Yeah, 57 is warm, but today it's 64 right now! And it's going to get warmer I think. *sigh*
Wow, you want to be a journalist? Cool! I suppose McDonalds isn't the best place for a journalist, but you never know. You could be taking someone's order, and it just happens to be some newspaper guy looking for a journalist. And there you'll be! You know, it could happen! I want to be a psychologist by the way.
Yeah, calling people names isn't the best way to get what you want. If she wants it, she needs to think of a better plan.
Yeah, I would NOT want to read 100 episodes online either. UGH! I've had to read a couple of episodes when I've missed them before they showed the whole episode online, and it was not fun. You don't get the same expirience. Oh, which reminds me, if you did have the time, they show full episodes online at they're official website. However, it doesn't sound like you do have the time.
Yeah, I'm not sure if I'll get it or not. I'll just have to see. Like I said, I don't play video games much, and $30 seems like a lot of money to spend on something you don't play much, but you never know.
Yeah, I really wanted a Wii. But, I'll live.
Hehe, yeah it sounds like life can be frustrating at times, I know mine can! Plus life can be very boring too. Well, I hope you accomplish your wish of a better life. I'm sure you will.

I would have liked an experience like that better than my family's. Seriously my parents were so obnoxious and pissing me off. Ignorance must be bliss to my dad, too.
Nice haul. We have different tastes since I'm a guy and you're a girl. But glad you're satisfied.
Wow, you must live in a desert or something. That's really hot compared to here.
Yeah, I love to write. My Pokemon fanfic has been getting rave reviews and I'm still dedicated to that. Won't resume it until next week due to the holidays, but I'll try to finish it someday. No idea how many episodes there'll be in total. The link is under advertising, I believe.
I doubt something like that would happen. In a fast food place, you hardly talk with the people behind the counter. You order, get your grub, pay, and then go sit and eat. He won't be like "Hey, you look like a journalist!" or anything even remotely close. He'll be like "I want a Big Mac meal and a chocolate milkshake." That's just how fast food places work.
Psychology? Cool. My sister is majoring in that I believe but that can change at any time. It's a very important decision to make and you have to know your strengths and such.
Yeah, reading a massive amount of recaps is boring. It's only good to do something like my Pokemon fanfic, which doesn't have a live action version. It's not fun to read the recaps since they're not written as a story, but rather as "Albert and Betsy got into an argument about whether or not Leslie was alive and Leslie came as a zombie and interrupted them." It's a summary, not a detailed writing. If you're interested in my Pokemon fanfic, you don't have to read it all at once since it'll stay there forever and you have to keep reading, not read it in less than a week so you're caught up with the next televised episode. Make sense?
I've been playing too much TotA lately. The game is really addictive. So you may actually play a lot of it. I started last Saturday and am like 25 hours in, nearly halfway. Trust me, you'll get your money's worth.
Wiis will be more readily available next Christmas. Though they sell like hotcakes still. Since the PS3 is dying, the demand for Wiis is staying consistent.
I need a job. Money is necessary for that better life...

It was pretty fun. I wish it would have gone better for you.
Hehe, I got pretty girly things. I try to pretty fairly feminine, without being a prep. I like to take care of myself, but I still like to get down and dirty outside. So, I guess I'm kinda in the middle.
Hehe, I definitely don't live in the desert. We've had rain for the past two weeks. One day I woke up and literly was living in a swamp, because there was so much water. We live in the country by the way.
I like to write too. Sometimes I like to write to release emotions, or sometimes just because. I might have to read your Pokemon Fanfic, even though I don't know anything about Pokemon, or really like it. Maybe when I have some time, I will.
Yeah, well it probably won't happen, but you never know. I was just trying to cheer you up. I doubt it worked, but it was worth a shot. By the way, I love Big Macs, LOL.
I'm not sure if that's what I'll go into, it's just something I'm interested in. That's cool your sister is majoring in that. You're right, it is a big desicion.
Yeah, it is boring just to read a bunch of episodes. You're right, the fact that it's not written in book form makes it worse. I'm sure your Fanfic isn't like that. And yes, that made sense.
I'll have to think about it. You never know, I may get it. However, I really need clothes, so I'll probably spend most of my money on that. Plus I need to save at least $20 for Dierks Bentley's new CD "Feel That Fire" coming out Febuary 2nd. By the way, he's a country singer if you didn't know.
Yeah, I really wanted a Wii. Perhaps next year.
Everybody needs money, lol. But, money isn't everything, however it does help a lot.
